EmLead Project Kick-Off Meeting Held in Cagliari

On October 22, 2024, partners from six European countries gathered in Cagliari, Italy for the official Kick-Off Meeting of the project EmLead – Empathy-Driven Leadership: A Role-Playing for Gen Z Development.
 

What was discussed?

The meeting began with a warm welcome from the host organization, followed by key presentations that outlined the structure and direction of the project:
  • Project Overview and Gantt Chart – Presented by Jovesolides, offering a detailed look at the timeline and major milestones.
  • WP1 – Project Management (Jovesolides) – Covered the coordination mechanisms, reporting procedures, and internal communication strategies.
  • WP2 – Development of Competency Matrix and Good Practice Brochure (Smart Institute) – Shared the approach for identifying core skills for empathy-driven leadership.
  • WP3 – Training for Youth Workers and Trainers (AAIS) – Introduced the planned structure of the training curriculum.
  • WP4 – Scenario Repository and Peer-to-Peer Training Platform (SHF & TDM2000) – Defined the first steps for creating interactive methodological tools available online.
  • WP5 – Use of Outputs and Multiplier Events (Creative Station) – Focused on dissemination strategies, community involvement, and increasing project impact.
 

 

 

Next Steps

In the afternoon, partners engaged in open discussion, provided feedback, and aligned on upcoming tasks and responsibilities. The meeting ended on a positive and collaborative note, with all teams expressing strong commitment to the project’s goals.

The Kick-Off Meeting served as a crucial opportunity for partners to connect, align expectations, and establish a solid foundation for smooth collaboration throughout the project. The EmLead team is now moving forward to implement an innovative approach that will help young people across Europe develop leadership skills through empathy, role-play, and digital tools.
